You can't pre-order at the mo. I'll explain more in a blog post in a min.

Ta for bday. I might be in your next of the woods for your bday - end of Sep, right?

Good thinking about looking for venues close to journalism courses, Neil.
I reckon that at the signings Kieren should offer people a choice: do they want him to sign in blood, sweat or Lagavulin?

:-) That's a great idea.

I'll keep special copies aside for Chuck Gomes and Pat Kane. If the NomCom has a crisis of conscience, I'll have to add Paul Twomey and Vint Cerf.

Well done Kieren. I wouldn't bother with promotional events just yet - go on holiday first!

Congratulations!
I'm sure it'll be as good as the first eighty or so pages I saw.
Once you've had a whisky or three, and watched your Peter Kay video, think about author promotional events. If Quercus haven't already suggested it, and you're happy to do it, tell them you want to do bookshop (or any other) events and talks to promote it pre and post publication. Possibly aim for the bookshops near journalism university courses(?), as well as the IT and legal aspects. Professional bodies / associations, too? Your work has only just begun...
Sorry, that's the last thing you want to hear, but take it from a bookseller of many years jaded experience.
Anyway, congratulations again, and have a well-earned whisky for me!
